Living in Light of God’s Grace

Paul spends the first three chapters of Ephesians telling the saints in Ephesus, and by extension believers in Jesus Christ today, this is what God has done for you in Christ.  Chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:3-14).  By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone Jew and Gentile have been reconciled to God.  And because of the cross of Christ the hostility once present between God and man has been destroyed and so too has the hostility between Jew and Gentile.  For now Jew and Gentile are reconciled to God and united together into one body.

Only after reminding the saints what God has one for them does Paul switch gears in the final three chapters to now saying, “In light of what God has done for you (Eph. 1-3), this is what you must do (Eph. 4-6).  Join us on Sunday to learn more about the marvelous grace of God and how we are to live in light of God’s grace!
