Why an Afternoon Service?
We have a body of believers who want to spend time together. To provide more opportunities for connecting we have lunch that follows Morning Worship each week, so plan to stick around for a meal as we’d love to get to know you better. We also have many in the body who travel a bit longer distance to gather, so this maximizes our time together while minimizing the trips necessary to do it. We are also excited to offer services for the whole family at the same time.
What to Expect?
- Those children in Nursery (0-4 years old) will listen to a Bible story, sing a few songs together, and enjoy some play time with other littles.
- Those children in Calvary Kids (K-5th Grade) will spend time singing, memorizing the Bible, learning more catechism questions, and hearing a Bible lesson in the Gospel of Luke!
- Those teens in Youth Group (6-12th) are studying the fruit of the Spirit in the life of Jesus right now (see Galatians 5).
- Adults will stay in the same are we eat in, to discuss the sermon that was preached that morning. This is a time where there is more dialogue between the leader and the adults as we consider further how to apply God’s truth to our everyday life.
***We will sometimes combine our teens and adults to start, and strengthen, relationships across generations as well***
